The 3rd Annual Intro to Marketing $25K Stock ChallengeWall Street Survivor

Let's see who can own the Market! Will it be a member of the Kostman Krew or one of Rogie's Renegades that shows financial genius by capturing the 3rd Annual Intro to Marketing Stock Challenge?

Each of you will be participating in an activity that simulates the buying and selling of stocks and the creation of a portfolio, a diversified group of stock investments. You will work individually and will have $25,000 of hypothetical money to invest. You will compete against each other to grow a mock stock portfolio, with the goal of creating the highest net worth in a simulated stock market environment.

Minimize your risk...Diversify!
Diversification means owning a number of different stocks in various industries that perform differently under a variety of economic conditions. An investor can diversify their portfolio by purchasing a number of different stocks. By diversifying one’s investments, a person minimizes their risk. For example, if an investor only buys stock in one company and its stock decreases in value, the investor would lose a lot of money; if, however, the investor owns stock in a number of companies, in a variety of sectors, odds are they will perform differently. Our hope in this simulation is designed to create long-term investors, rather than speculators.
